Black Panther So Lit!!

Brandon and Devin are joined by Rich Fann from the Deep Dive podcast of the Pro Wrestling Torch and we are here to talk about, marvel over and spoil Black Panther. Black Panther was a film that a lot of us thought would never be made and this film exceeded all expectations an is a masterpiece and a important cultural moment. This films give us T’Challa’s story on his rise to becoming kind of Wakanda. This film had all the hype in the world and not only lived up to it but far exceeded that hype. Disney gave Ryan Coogler a blank check allowed him to have a black executive producer, black writers, black costume designers, and a majority black cast and the confidence to tell his own story and created one of the most important cultural films in modern history and that is not an overstatement. This should be the final lesson for Hollywood that black films and marginalized groups as a whole films will sell and by giving some new people opportunities those groups will come support and so will white people.

We talk about

  • the standout performances in this film
  • All the black girl magic and butt kicking the Dora Milaje do
  • How great of a Villain Erik Killmongerer is and Michael B. Jordan ability to show emotion
  • What we would like to see in a Black Panther sequel
  • How Great the actions scenes are
  • How far we have come with black super hero films
  • Sterling K. Brown tears
  • And we even throw in some pro wrestling talk at the end because why not
