Why So Serious Podcast: History of the Inhumans
Welcome to the First episode of the Why So Serious Podcast today we are doing a History Of… Episode on The Inhumans. With the Royal Family making it’s first appearance in Live Action we want to give you a primer and some background on a complicated and Unique “Hero” team.
Today we talk about their origin story, early appearances which are kind of corny, the power and abilities of the family members, and some great arcs including confrontations with Thanos, The Kree, The Skrulls and the X-men. The Royal Family are not your typical super hero team and as you will hear they make a lot of decisions that groups like the Avengers would never make. The Royal Family only care about their people and what is best for the family itself. They will partners with other Marvel heroes when it best serves the family and the Inhuman people as a whole.
The Royal Family consist of Black Bolt, Medusa, Karnack, Gorgon, Triton, Crystal, Maximus the Mad and their dog Lockjaw. The early stuff is not so great, however once you get to the 2000’s and past then, their stories are really interesting and cosmic and they actually make the early stories matter. They have gotten a lot more popularity since Marvel Studios don’t have the rights to the X-Men. We talk about all that in more in our initial episode of the Why So Serious Podcast.
