*Some Spoilers*
DC Rebirth kicked off with Wally West coming back out of the speed force with the help of Barry Allen. The two of them were going to try and figure out what happened with the lost time and memories but a Speed Force storm hit Central City that caught Barry’s attention. For a good part of The Flash’s history he was training new speedsters and teaching them about the Speed Force, now Barry gets another chance to do that and he has loved it. He got a new love interest, new potential partner but also a new super villain that may be faster than Barry and can steal speed who is calling himself Godspeed.

Introducing GodSpeed

Introducing Godspeed

The Flash Rebirth has been much better than the New 52 run. This run has gotten back to the core of the character and the cost of being a hero. Barry’s partner August Heart was the first person struck by this Speed Force storm and gained speed powers. August new Barry was the Flash but acted like he didn’t know until Barry was ready to reveal it and he did in order to help August refine his powers. August who was hell bent on justice for the murderer of his brother who he believes was done by the Black hole who also is suspected to be the cause of this Speed Force storm. Barry and August were partners on the police force and become Super Hero partners helping to solve crime and stop some of the new speedsters who choose to use their powers for bad. Meanwhile S.T.A.R Labs created a speedster training center where new speedsters could come and learn about their powers and abilities.

During this time Barry meets a new love interest Meena who is a new speedster who is helping to train the new Wallace West on his powers. Barry and Meena kick it off great because Barry finally meets someone who can relate to both parts of his life but like many things in Barry’s life this comes to an apparent end because Godspeed seemingly killed her. Godspeed also killed many other speedsters but one person he killed that Iris helped him figure out, led Barry to figure out that *SPOILERS* August was Godspeed. August felt that these speedsters were waisting their talent and that Barry would not go far enough for justice so he had to kill the person who he thought killed his brother. The scariest part of this story was Barry brought up that August was there for one of Godspeed’s attacks and Godspeed reveals that he is so much faster than Barry that he can actually be in 2 places at one time.
